There is an old man with a long grey beard,
But he has no bones: isn't that weird?
He rises up tall, soars into the sky,
and then he is gone: goodbye! goodbye!

Smoke.This is a traditional riddle, and I had fun creating a rhymed version. This is another one of those riddles that belongs to an old-fashioned way of life, before electricity took the fire out of our lives. But imagine a campfire, or maybe you have an actual wood-burning fireplace. If you do, you have seen this old man!
